What is a Trap Line?

A trap line is a telephone number used by private investigators and skip tracers to locate people. The trap line is equiped with ANI, Automatic Number Identification. Sometimes called Call Capture.

A trap line will unblock caller ID blocking features and help you identify people calling. It can be used to locate a persons current place of employment also.

Every private investigator should have at least one active trap line in their investagitve tool box.
